Kitchen and utility room

16.7 m2 (kitchen) 6.5 m2 (utility)

Before we made Haute Marne our home one of the joys of holidaying in France was cooking the lovely ingredients we found on our travels, but sometimes the reality was a let-down; often  the gites we rented didn't have  enough space for more than one person to cook,  the appliances were outdated and often not of very good quality and there was usually very little storage space.   We've remembered this in designing and equipping the kitchen in our gite.

The kitchen is fitted with Bosch appliances (fan oven, induction hob and dishwasher) and a Liebherr fridge.  There's ample space for everyone to cook together and you'll find equipment here to meet most of your everyday cooking and dining needs.   There are sharp knives, good quality pans, plus a  range of baking and serving dishes and kitchen gadgets.    If you can't find what you need, we're just at the other side of the pool if you want to borrow anything more specialist (like a pasta machine or an ice-cream maker).

The kitchen is separated from the living area by an attractive oak-topped bar which also provides additional storage below.   The window looks out towards the hills and forest at the rear of the property.

An oak door from the kitchen gives access to the utility room which will house the washing machine, tumble drier and an additional  fridge freezer (plenty of room to chill the rosé!).   There's also space to hang coats and hide away your boots.
