Escape to secret France

"Come in!"
"Come in!"

Situated on the Champagne / Burgundy borders our gite, which sleeps four, was converted from a 200 year-old barn, in a tranquil agricultural village in  Haute-Marne, one of the most densely wooded  departments in France.

Cirfontaines en Azois nestles in a hollow where three valleys meet - hence the 'Trois Vallons' in our name.   Here you can discover a France largely bypassed by modern tourism, but with much to offer visitors whatever the season.

Without getting in your car, you can enjoy beautiful walks or cycle rides in the rolling countryside.

A short car journey away you can taste (and buy) Champagne, visit historical towns and chateaux or go further afield to enjoy what larger towns like the beautiful medieval  Troyes (pronounced 'Twa') with its beautiful medieval centre, or Dijon have to offer.

The two bakers in the nearby town of Chateauvillain provide morning delivery services so you can enjoy freshly-baked bread and patisserie for breakfast in true French style.
